Cultural Immersion:

Would you love to experience traditional Japanese culture up close. This could include attending a tea ceremony, trying on a kimono, eat lunch in an "ama diver" hut,  ride a riksha, do a yoga class or even participating in a traditional Japanese cooking class.

Natural Beauty:

Japan boasts stunning natural landscapes, from snow-capped mountains to picturesque coastal towns. I'd love you  to see scenic areas such as Mount Fuji(please don't ask me to climb it though), the iconic cherry blossoms of Kyoto, and the tranquil islands of Okinawa. Activities like (light) hiking, hot spring baths, horse/camel trekking are fantastic additions to the itinerary.

Off-the-Beaten-Path Experiences:

While everybody is excited to see popular tourist destinations, I will give you the chance to also  discover hidden gems and lesser-known attractions. Let's explore charming rural villages,  scenic train rides in old SL's, visit traditional craftsmen, and local markets to get a glimpse of everyday life in Japan.

Food Safari in a Local Hood

Let's skip the tourist traps and dive into a neighborhood known for its culinary gems. From street food stalls to hidden eateries, we'll taste our way through the flavors of authentic Japan. It's a foodie adventure you won't find in any guidebook.

Consider me your adventurous nephew ready to show you the ropes in Japan. Here are some out-of-the-box ideas to make our trip truly unforgettable:
-Stay in a Traditional Ryokan: Instead of a standard hotel, how about experiencing a night or two in a traditional Japanese inn? We could soak in an outdoor hot spring bath (onsen), enjoy a multi-course kaiseki meal, and sleep on futon bedding in a tatami-matted room for an authentic Japanese hospitality experience.
-Take a Samurai Swordsmanship Class: Ever wanted to wield a samurai sword? We could arrange a private lesson with a master swordsman to learn the basics of Kenjutsu (samurai swordsmanship). It's not only a unique physical activity but also offers insight into Japan's rich martial arts heritage.
-Participate in a Tea Harvest: If our timing aligns with the tea harvest season, we could join local farmers in picking tea leaves at a traditional tea plantation. Not only would we learn about the intricate process of tea cultivation, but we could also enjoy freshly brewed tea right from the source.
-Visit an Animal Cafe with a Twist: Instead of a regular cat or owl cafe, how about visiting a hedgehog cafe, where we can interact with these adorable spiky creatures? It's a charming and unique experience that offers a playful twist on Japan's cafe culture.
-etc.
